SECOND OPERATION
Got to change - do something - change - what? - what choice do I have? -
So me and Dad went to see another doctor and asked him his advice
"It's a dilemma" he said
Have the hip out - put in a new hip - a false one - its possible - but am I still too young ? - good chance of success - fifteen years without pain - never known what its like to be without pain - but my hips are in a bad way - makes it difficult - could go wrong - bone might not take it - body might reject it - fifteen years without pain - but no turning back then - once its done its done - might be good - might not - what then? - end up without any hips - just a big gap - legs dangling free and floppy - that would certainly loosen them up - end up in a wheelchair - no chance to change - to change - change myself - do it myself - from the inside - reverse the old process - get the old metal taken out - twisted my leg around - caused half the problems anyway - what to do?-get a new hip or reverse the operation? - reverse the process or replace the hip? reverse or replace? - reverse or replace? - reverse or replace?
"So what do you suggest, Doctor?"
"You will have to make up your own mind on this one - It's going to have to be your own decision".
At last it seems there's a doctor out there who treats me with respect, as a person, not just a mechanical body waiting to be messed around with and fixed.
So I went for the reversal - had the metal taken out - it had been inside me for ten years - banging into things - shuddering the joint - blocking the flow So its out now - and I'm moving more easily - naturally - open - open - open - open - open.
